Theme: Enriching Global IT Partnership
Following the successful ITAN/NASSCOM IT CEO Summit 2010, the Information Technology (Industry) Association of Nigeria (ITAN) is pleased to announce the convocation of another high level Business Networking Forum between Nigeria IT CEOs and their Indian counterpart from the National Software and Services Companies of India (NASSCOM) on September 19, 2011, 8am at Westown Hotel, Opebi Link Road, Ikeja Lagos. The theme of the high level meeting is “Enriching Global Partnership”. It is envisaged that deeper Nigeria-India collaboration in the field of Information-Communications Technology (ICT) will enhance the attainment of the WSIS 2015 targets of a truly connected global economy.
More than 20 top Indian ICT companies and CEOs to be led by Mr Anil Bakht CEO Eastern Software Ltd and Lead Strategic Projects are expected to visit for partnership with Nigerian IT CEOs. According to ITAN President, Dr Jimson Olufuye, “This meeting will consolidate on the gains of the visits last year where alliances were forged and it is good for our economy as our IT CEOs partner with their Indian counterparts for technology and best practice adoption and adaption to local needs and the boosting of the much needed foreign direct investment into the Nigerian IT ecosystem”.

Expected as the Chairman of the Forum is Mr Emmanuel Ikazobor, CEO Hedonmark Consulting and Management Services and the Special Guests of Honour are the Honourable Minister of Communications & Technology, Mrs Mobolaji Johnson; Dr Adamu Baba, Senior Special Assistant to the Vice-President of ICT and the Indian Consular General Mr. Mahesh Sachdev. Representatives of the World Bank and UNDP will also be in attendance.
